Welcome..
Hi Danielle!
I've been popping in here and there but had so much to do, I hadn't any time to respond.
Insurance Company.... GRRRR Was on the phone with them last Friday and I ended up talking with a supervisor. See Danielle, I wasn't in need of having any "pre-determination" because I am 100% covered. I was told that some woman canceled the whole damn thing on me... I ended up in tears because I did everything they asked for and timely too. Hmmm.. Have they been (excuse the language) dicking me around? YES. So, after talking to a supervisor, all the office had to do is call in with a surgery date (nope, have no clue what it was) and then they would approve it. NP called Monday afternoon after a 45 minute phone conference with her on Friday. I called Ins. Co. today and they have received the "Notification for procedure" and waiting for the approval. Geez, it will be one month on the 20th that I began this process. I have an appointment on the 27th for my sleep study with the NP there. If I miss that, I will absolutely flip right out. In order to assure I still go to that appt., I will ask my primary to refer me... I am determined to get it done... I don't want to wait another two months before I get in. Pray for me~! LOL Hopefully I will be all set by next week.
That's what I said to them. I dunno Danielle. This Insurance is a piece of work... and I am not letting up on them for that reason. Why couldn't they just tell us that it was being done wrong straight from the beginning, if thats even the truth.
They were changing fax #s and changing stories for days on end. One day, I spoke to 6 different people, all with a different story.
They said there is no time limit for this one to be approved.
SHRUG I DON'T KNOW...
