Another question for Dr Royes patients...

HI... I have my f/u with Dr Roye in 3 weeks. All my pre op stuff is done. Can I expect a date for my lap RNY on this day, or will he need to see me *after* my second f/u with lauren at the sleep center? I saw her the other day, got my cpap orders and all that, but I have another appt with her in Aug. Does Dr Roy put people on a liquid diet before surgery? If so, and it is liquid protein, what kind does he make you have? If he does that, does he make you come back to the office to see how you did on that diet?  Thanks in advance, people!!!! (getting excited, on the home stretch!!!!!!!    * I hope*)

I did not have to have a follow up on my sleep study so im not sure how that works with Dr. Roye. He did not put me on a liquid diet...just no eating after midnight the day before surgery.  Congrats on being on the home stretch...soon you'll be on the losers bench!!! Good luck!! Jullee

Hey,  Don't know if you need a follow-up after the sleep study, I didn't need the second visit.  As for the liquid diet, he didn't put me on a liquid diet before surgery, he did want me to lose the 10 lbs I gained between January and March visits.  I never did lose the ten.  Nancy
