How far out does Dr Roye book the date?

HI everyone!!! I was wondering about how long Dr Roye takes to book surgery once you are all done with your pre op tests.... I have my f/u with the sleep study people tomorrow, and after that I am going right to RIH to draw my labs. Then, finally, I can schedule my f/u with Dr Roye (I will probly just walk right on up there, rather then call...lol).... how long from this point does he usually book? It wont be another 2 months, will it?????? I am from Lincoln, and would love to meet other people from RI that  are on this journey!!! (I am having lap RNY)

Hey,  I got a surgery date 4 weeks after my last visit with Dr. Roye, but I had lap-band surgery.  My first consult with Dr. Roye was Jan 16, 2007 - Did all my testing - next appt was March 16th and surgery was scheduled for Apr 10th.  I feel it moved along very quickly.  I probably could have had it done sooner but the sleep study took a while to schedule. After all my testing was done I called for my last appt. with Dr. Roye, it took 2 weeks to get that appointment then during that appointment he scheduled me for my surgery, 2 weeks later! It was very quick, quicker then I had expected!! Good Luck!!!!!! Jullee

Hello, I have different Dr., same office.  I did the same thing that you did.  I went to the sleep study consult (after the studies) & they ordered my C-pap machine & gave me a follow-up appt..  Next day I had my blood drawn & then walked up to the Dr.'s office.  They then asked me when my next sleep consult was (8 wks.) & scheduled my appt. for one week after. S-L-O-W process.
