Hey Jules,  Welcome and good luck.  If you have any questions this is the place to ask.  Most of us have gone through it and some will be shortly.  So, ask away.   Nancy

Hi Nancy, Thanks for the welcome.  I'll probably take you up on your offer to ask questions.  I think the hardest for me is going to be the pre-op liquid diet for two weeks!  How bad was it?  Thanks!  Jules

My liquid diet consisted of breakfast and lunch..(liquid) and then a 3oz portion of protein and veggies....it wasn't bad at all.  Have they said what yours consisted of?

Hi Danielle, other than the info pack I received at the seminar, they haven't mentioned anything other than the two week liquid diet.  I think it is what you mentioned.  Does that liquid drink hold you?  Did you find different drinks are better than others?  Thanks for  your help!  Jules

Does Dr Giovanni and Dr Pohl work out of the same office?  If they do, they sell a drink ProtiV or something like that.  You want the Wildberry flavor...is it the best out of all them.  You also want to use more water than the packet says....because it is crazy sweet.  I wasn't a big breakfast person so the drink for breakfast was fine.  (I still had my coffee...but don't tell..lol).  For lunch I would have one at my desk and then I would walk around the parking lot so everyone eating around me didn't effect me.  By dinner time, I was hungry.  Pile on those veggies!!!!!

Thanks for the advice, Danielle.  I will be steaming up lots of veggies for sure!  Yes, Dr. Pohl and Dr. Giovanni are in the same office so I'll try that protein drink you suggested.  Are they all fruity drinks?

The majority of them are...they have a cappaccino version which isn't bad...but not that great either. The wildberry is good because who the heck knows what wildberry tastes like. I have tried other flavors but kept comparing them to what I thought it should taste like..orange, strawberry..etc...

Hi Sweet, I was all worked up over the endoscopy but it truly was not big deal.  I went to Dr. Andrew Stone in Providence.  His staff and he were wonderful!  I was groggy when I went home and had a nice nap. I didn't pass the psych evaul LOL oh well - anyway I have to do group therapy beginning tomorrow before they clear me for surgery.  Best of luck to you, too.  Jules
