Call on monday and see if you can move to the next stage?  I was so happy to move from shakes to chicken broth you can't even imagine.

Yesterday I found Honeydew Doughnuts has fruit smoothies and that helped craved the hunger, just make sure you get them without the Icecream..lol

please be careful with what you choose to eat. only being 4 days post-op, and i hesitate in saying this, but that's awfully soon to start consuming "fruit" smoothies from honeydew.  if you are that hungry - have a protein shake! this is your time to start changing your habits, you know? i cannot stress enough that you need to take advantage of the time you have now to make these changes. if you don't - a year from now you'll struggle just as hard, if not more, than you struggled to eat well before your surgery. i would think that right now the only thing you really want to be putting in your mouth for food's sake - is protein based. right? did you check out the sugar content of those smoothies? i can't imagine you were able to drink all 16oz.. but holy crap! even the non-ice cream ones were around 40g.  i really don't want to sound all preachy - and i'm sorry if i do - i just worry about these kinds of choices so soon after surgery. your pouch is trying to heal -  fruit really isn't good for it, at all and won't be for quite a few weeks. good luck! kristen

Please call Dr Pohl's office to see what they recommend.  This is a healing stage and it is important that you follow the rules.  This part is not about weight loss.

You have to be careful with that stuff...here is the nutritional value of a strawberry smoothie from Honey Dew...LOTS of carbs!!!! My suggestion is to add, bananas or strawberries to your protein shakes with crushed ice instead..they can be yummy if you doctor them up...I have a recipe book , with lots of great ideas if you want it!!

Hi Marc, In reading your postings I think you were banded the same day I was 06/20/07. I agree w/the hunger. I felt soooo sick on Saturday from being hungry  - I made myself scrambeld egg. What a difference the grumbling stopped only for a little while. I haven't felt hungry in sooooo long that I forgot what those hunger pangs felt like. So I decided to make sure I have jello, pudding and my Carnation instant breakfast & slimfast handy. One other question how are you doing w/gas pains. I didn/t realize I would be this uncomfortable being 5 days out. Diane
