Tests

Did anyone have trouble scheduling their tests in he evenings?  I'm trying to get all my testing done without having to take time out of work.  I don't plan on telling anyone  at work about my surgery.  I work with some shady people.  Once one person knows everyone in RI knows.  Yes it travels that quick.  I do plan on taking some days off for the testings that take more time.  But I think that's going to be my problem trying to fit testing and working.

You have got to love Rhode Island...lol Im not sure about evening appointments...all of mine were during the day. If there would have been evening appointments I would definintely have done those instead of taking time off of work...

I think you will find that most happen during the day.  Especially the pysch eval which is practically an all day process and the endo-oscopy which will leave you loopy with drugs for the rest of the day.

Danielle,     Is this Endoscopy mandatory too? First I ever heard of that having to be done.  Learn something new every day! 

I didn't have it.  May be for the band (if other conditions call for it).  I was asked lots of questions regarding my GERD & told I may need that test if I decided to go for the band..

Oh I see!  Okay. Doesn't matter. I will do any and all tests they want whether I do the band or rny. Gerd... Diagnosed years ago... have it on and off but nothing compared to then. Maintain on my own. I hate it! Thanks Islander! You live on Aquidneck Island?  I lived in Middletown for a yr., I miss being there so much!  I belong next to the ocean!

Funny, since I posted about my gerd on and off... It acted up not even an hour later and had it since.

Dr Pohl requires it...but I think all the doctors are different.

Just curious, did everyone see this guy Dr. Zimmerman for the psych eval? Each Dr. must have a preference to what psych doctor to see, no?

I didnt have to have the endo--thingy either...thank goodness...also some friends of mine are getting the band and they have different tests then me, everyone is different.  I saw Dr. Atooula (spelling?) for my psych eval..me and her didnt really get along too well....she ended up asking me to leave her office because I was very upset that she didnt pass me...lol....but I guess she was just doing her job...and thats all Ill say about THAT..lol Dawn--I live in Newport too....Aquidneck Island is very nice...but....its tourist season  GRRRRRRRRRR lol
