Hi Mary,    All I can do is keep you updated on my progress... I'm still a newbie of 3 weeks now. Called Dr. Royes office several times before they gave me a date. They kept telling me the app's were being reviewed and not to any suprise, they weren't.  I kinda got angry about being jerked around... and she pulled it off the internet (I have a referal) and gave me a date.  June 20th. I'm excited that your consult is over and you are on your way!

I noticed that the sleep studies all depend on the person. I've seen a one visit vs. 4-5 visit.  I didn't think I have sleep apnea, but my husband says I snore loud... I guess that one of the signs. SHRUG!

Hey Mary, I had my first visit with Dr. Roye Jan 16, 2007 and my surgery was April 10, 2007. I would get the sleep study done first that actually took the longest.   Once you get your surgery date, you are gonna be on cloud nine.  I am so happy that I had my surgery (Lap-Band).  I got my first fill today and feel great. Hi Nancy,

Did you call Newport Hospital to schedule your study yourself? any info would be helpful. I am having the Roux-en-Y bypass. I think it will work the best for me. I cna't wait to be floating on that cloud Mary

I had my study at Miriam Hospital.  Only needed one visit.  I went to the sleep study doctor first than they schedule the study at the hospital.  It was though University Foundation ( I believe that was the name) on Rt. 2 in Warwick, next door to Cardi's Furniture.
