Hi Kim,
The most important thing is really to just be yourself and answer truthfully.
If you really want the surgery to work for you, then they will need address any issues that you have before the operation. If you don't follow the directions after your surgery then you will just be back to sqare one eventually.
Yes, Dawn in the questionaire that you rec'v they ask wacky questions. Here are some, I got ....................
Do you hear voices? Do you see people that no one else can see? Do you think that someone is trying to control you? I had a good laugh at some of the questions.
It really was not as bad as I expected at all.
Thanks, Paula
A good laugh indeed, but what does someone of my status tell them? I'm very intuitive and my abilities sometimes allows me to do, see, and hear many things that no one else can, except for the select few in this world. I talk to dead people!! (Don't go freaking out on me now!) What on earth is that going to do for me??? I'm a paranormal investigator... I deal with the supernatural in a scientific envirement. LOL I don't have a problem speaking about my line of work, but when it comes to Psychotherapist's, it's a; will they think I'm insane? Like most in any community
In any every day situation, I can at least educate people about the astral plaine vs. physical plaine... but I won't be dealing with just any typical indiviual, I am dealing with a Nut Dr. LOL
Paula, I've been through this psycho interview before.. it wasn't pleasant to hear all those questions... most of my responses to them were along the lines of answer the question with a question. I really am concerned about this. People researching and investigating paranormal phenomena is becoming an extremely wide spread community.
Like I said, damned if you do, damned if you don't. There is no balance when it comes to this field. ~Dawn
Dawn, I had my psych in April. While not in your class, I describe myself sometimes as "sensitive." So I told them that & relayed an experience. I believe that they are seeing if there is a differentiation between your ability & a psychosis. Hopefully, none of your voices or spirits are directing you to hurt yourself or anyone else. I tried to answer their written questions honestly, but they didn't even refer to them when I went in. They just asked me a whole other set of questions. Instead of just "yes" or "no," I think that I'd try to add written remarks. They want to pass you, they're just looking to see if there is anything that might affect your progress or lead you down the path to other addictions. I really don't believe that you will encourage any difficulty, but I would tread cautiously & lightly and you seem to have some experience doing so.
Again, I don't think that you will encourage any problems with this. Stay positive. Hey, if we were all totally sane, we wouldn't be meeting with them! Good luck! Eileen
