I would like to say that it was indeed a pleasure to have been a part of the WLSS group tonight. I learned quite a bit, met new friends and hoping to continue with all of you throughout my journey. Thank you all!  ~Dawn

   The meeting I went too of course was my first. I haven't even seen my surgeon yet but wanted to jump in and start getting a well rounded view of all that is with any bariatric surgery. There were people of all levels there, pre-op, post-op and some that made their decision and some just concidering. You hear stories from different scenario's of how it went for each indiviual, learn from one another, and there is also speakers, i.e. Bariatric Dr., Nutritionist, Nurses... and they discuss mostly anything you want.  Basically, we are all there to help one another through a difficult time and support is absolutely  given here.  Meet great new friends.  This last meeting also held topic on grilling and what it's roll can be during post-op... recipes shared, tips, and a plus was Paula, being a chef in the past.  I urge you to come and experience WLSS (Weight Loss Success Striders) I positive that you will be happy you did.

Hi Nancy Jean: I'm new to this site and  so far only had a consult and talked to the sleep clinic.  What time, where and when do you meet?  Is there only one location you meet at?  Would it be better to wait until I've finished with all the testing or surgery to attnd?  Is this for any type of surgery or just lap band or gastric?
