Hi,
All went well, spent the nite at RIH, and got home about 1:30 today.
Feeling very comfortable after some liquid Vicodin!

"Because we do not know when we will die we get to think of life as an inexhaustible well and yet everything happens only a certain number of times and a very small number really. How many more times will you remember a certain afternoon of your childhood, an afternoon that is so deeply a part of your life that you can't even conceive of your life without it. Perhaps four or five times more? Perhaps not even that. How many times will you watch the full moon rise, perhaps twenty, and yet it all seems so limitless."

What did you get for pain relief? I wish I could get you that packet. Unfortunately, I don't have acess to a scanner or fax machine.

Well...
Here it is 5 days post op, and I have made a big boo-boo.
While getting dinner for the boys, I took a great big ol' bite of chicken. Not even thinking, just hand to mouth.

Not puree or ground, or even with a nice sauce.

I now know what sliming and PBing are first hand, and I never want it to happen again!!
On the positive side I've lost 7 lbs already, and the PB dislodged a gas bubble that has been bugging me for 3 days!!

Live and learn.

Yay Pat on the seven pounds.  You are my twin.  I am down seven pounds too.  How are things going for you besides that episode?  I haven't had any problems with my intake other than getting all my water in.  Well I don't have all my shakes either. LOL  But I have started having cottage cheese and I am loving the pretending I have to chew with that.  I just favor it up and it's all good.

Good for you too, 7lbs.

I've had trouble getting it all in too.
