Doin' the Snoopy dance!
OMG! I had the best day today!!! Savers, that little second hand charity store, had a 50% off sale! Woo hoo! I went nuts! I bought a bunch of size 14 clothes (I used to be a tight 26/28). I also bought a 12, just for fun, got them on....and zipped! I couldn't move, but they were on! Just kidding, they are too tight to wear(now), but I did get them on! What an ego boost! I also bought a bathing suit.......without a skirt! And didn't hate the way I looked. I can't remember not hating how I looked in a bathing suit. It's probably been three years since I've even worn a bathing suit. I can't say I wouldn't be happier with a little plastic surgery, but that's down the road a bit. I'm pretty darn happy right now!!!! Woo hooooo!

Hi Pam, I go to Savers now for most of my clothes...I can't belive home many people are in there and how nice most of the clothes are. I bought some blouses (which i never wore before on sale) and got 2 for I think 6 dollars...and people remark how nice they are.......hahah if they only knew. I get all of my jeans there too. I have to admit its like a hit and miss, but I just love shopping there. Its just a great place for all of us who are losing lbs....and also for those who like to save some $$$. Did you go to the one in East Providence? Carol B
Hi Carol,
I went to both. Kinda went a little crazy. I'm going to end up bringing some things back for exchange. I found too many jeans, really, how many can I wear? Several of the items I bought still had store tags on them! The prices couldn't be beat. I agree with you completely about being a great place when you're changing sizes rather quickly. I brag like crazy about getting clothes there. Hey, the money and donations go to charity. One of the people I work with is into designer stuff and kind of turns her nose up, but I know she looks at, and likes, many of the things I've worn. Heck, a lot of things I've picked up are designer labels.
Guess I'm in trouble now, Danielle gave up another location. I'm gonna have to mapquest it!
