ANyone banded ith Dr Pohl/Giovanni

My surgery is scheduled for June 8th and I am a NERVOUS wreck!! How are they to deal with post op? I know I will be at the hospital overnight, how was that experience? I start my pre-op diet on the 25th and am nervous about that as well. Needless to say I am mortified that I've gaind 10 lbs since my last visit a few mos ago! thanks! Janet

Hi Janet, My lapband surgery was with Dr Pohl and it went great. I didn't have to stay overnight was home that afternoon. After the surgery he personally called my husband to let him know that everything went well and when he could come by to see me. Once I was out of recovery he came down to see me and by then my husband was with me. He is very very nice. My aftercare has been done by one of his PA's - Jeremy. He is very nice and assisted in the surgery. Good luck - you are in good hands... Danielle

Dear Janet, I wan't banded by Dr. Pohl, but I did have RNY with him! He is a great surgeon, he really cares. He will come to see you in person and he will spend as much time with you as YOU need!! His after care is with Jeremy and he's very nice and very handsome too!! I was nervous too!! Don't be...as Danielle says above....you are in great hands!! By the way, I lost 20lbs during the pre-op diet!! You will do fine!! Good Luck!! Patti
