Question Regarding Sleep Study?
My last test is the sleep study on Mon. I'm confused about this. I go there & give them back the questionnaire they sent me. Then I make another appointment or not depenging on my symptons? Does everyone have to sleep over? I asked them if I needed two appointments & they said no.
Thanks for any enlightenment.

Hey Eileen,
When I went for my sleep study the initial visit is with the doctor and his assistant to go over your questionaire and they throw more questions at you. Once that is complete they set up the sleep study date. Mine was at the Miriam Hospital lab. They set up two dates, but if you pass the first sleepover then you don't have to go to the second date. Then another appointment is scheduled for the follow-up with the doctor.
I didn't need a second visit or a follow up with the doctor
Hope I helped you

Boy, this is a long process, but an interesting one. I suppose I will be done by the middle of May. Yes, I have to sleep over & then have a meeting on the results. I found out that I do have a narrow airway & my hubbie even a narrower one. They did suggest to my husband that he strongly consider having the surgery done as he will have the longest part of the testing already done. Sounded like a good idea to thim.
Ah well, I certainly should be healthy after all this testing. I've had everything done but an endoscopy & I believe that my primary wants this done as I've had 40 yrs. of indigestion.
The Dr. had a good suggestion give to him by another patient. Start trying those shakes now for ones that you like. I suppose when you're not feeling all that well after the surgery, trying out different ones & obtaining them isn't a whole lot of fun.
So what shakes do you use?
Thanks for the info.
