How sm I suppose to feel 4 days out from surgery?

Hi. Can anyone tell me how I should feel 4 days after surgery? All day I've had the feeling of pressure in my throat. I am definitely not over eating. Did anyone feel this or is this what it is going to feel like?

4 days out I was on clear liquids still. What are you eating?

The pressure could just be gas..make sure you are sipping and not gulping and walk walk walk around your house.

Nancy I was on liquids for 2 weeks and only able to really "sip" at 4 days out. However, about day 4 lots of discomfort set in. It was all in regards to gas. I second Danielle's advice.....walk, walk, walk. It will pass.....promise. Good luck Cathi

also, keep in mind that all the anesthesia/pain meds are working their way out of your body, as your body is beginning to "wake up" again - so you are going to start feeling a lot more of what's going on as it will not be as numb as it has been. i'd definitely keep walking - but if the pressure in your throat persists - dont hesitate for a second to call your surgeon. that's what he's there for. kristen*
