Hello everyone. Im new to this site. Im gonig on the 30th for my last appointment with Dr. Roye and I will get my surgery date then..whooo hoooo.....anyone else have Dr. Roye???

Hey Jullee, I also have Dr. Roye. I have my last appointment with him on April 6th and can't wait!! Just finished the last of my testing and blood work today. Are you having the band too - or RNY? Kathy

Hi Kathy, Yes im having the band...RNY was just too invasive to me. I finished all my testing too and now im just waiting for my surgery date. Hopefully it will be soooooon!!!!

Hi Jullee, Welcome I have Dr. Roye also! I'm having the last of my testing on Monday. I'm anxious to know how far out he's booking surgery. Please let us know when you get your date. Patty

Hi Julie. My last appointment with Roye before the surgery was on January 17. My surgery was done on january 30th.. I know this is unusually fast. I walked out of his office spellbound. I couldn't believe it was just in ten days. I made it a point to say I wanted it as soon as possible. I have lost 34 pounds with another 35-40 to go. I was only about 75 pounds overweight but I had difficulty losing it. Thus the surgery which was a piece of cake. He is a great surgeon. I am very happy I had it done (gastric bypass) Linda

Hello Jullee!! Welcome! I also have Dr. Roye and I have my surgery schedualed for April 3rd! I like Dr. Roye he doesn't take any crap but he lays it out straight and informative for ya! Plus he's nice too. I would have a problem getting surgery done by a mean dr. Anyway welcome and Congratz! ~Erin

What time is your appointment Julie? I will be there in the morning and then I have another doc appointment later that day. I work monday - friday so if I take a day off for an appointment I fill it up with other appointments. If you are there in the morning I would love to catch you and maybe have a coffee. Let me know. Hey Betz, My appointment is at 9:15. I also work mon-Fri so I know what you mean. Ive had to take a lot of time off for all the appointments I had to go to for this surgery and then for the support groups at the bayside med building I was having to leave early every tuesday!!! Grrrr...luckily my job is understanding!!! Anywho...let me know when ur appt is....maybe ill see ya there! Jullee
