Final pre-op appt!

this process went by so quick! I guess it's because I have such great insurance and work nights so my tesitng was quickly finised. I met with Dr. Giovanni for the last time today (pre-op) and the surgical scheduler said I will have my date in about a week! The only down side is that my b-day is May7th and she said my surgery will be the beginning of May!!! Looks like a liquid birthday!! I will be on a liquid diet for 2 weeks. Protein shake in the am and noon. Then protein and veggies for dinner. I bought their shakes in the office. Wildberry, hot chocolate and strawberry. I also bout 2 large containers of Body fortress, vanilla and choc. So I should be ready! Well that's all for now.I have to say I am very excited but a tad nervous at the same time! thanks Janet

Congratz Janet! My birthday is April 9th but my surgery is April 3rd so I feel your pain. When my friends found out that I probaly wouldn't be up to celebrating on my acctually birthday they planed an early birthday party. its going to be this saturday. They are making me a wicked awersome dinner then we're going to Jimmies' saloon for karaoke around 10pm! they are so understanding and supportive. I'm a lucky girl. and with it being a week and a half before surgery I really don;t have to worry if I have one to many drinks that night. So maybe you can enjoy your birthday early too. My best friend is acctually calling it my "rebirth" party. She says because I';m kinda starting over with a new chance at life. Yeah I'm a lucky girl! ~E

thanks so much for the replies! I think we are going to hae an early dinner celebration. It's funny becauseI never realized how much my b-day revolves around food!!! It's going to be a big adjustment post-band!!
