my visit with Dr Giovanni

I must say. I love her!! She is so down to earth and realistic. I love a Dr. who doesn't sugar coat everything. We diecided that the band is indeed best for me. (which is what I wanted anyway) I have absolutely no other heath problems except fo my weight. All of my testing is completed except for my EGD which is getting done on 2/27. After that test, I'm DONE. The office said to call that afternoon and I'l go for my 2nd viit 2 weeks after to get a surgery date! This is all happeneing so fast! I just went to the seminar in Jan. It does help that I only work weekend nights, so the appt's were done quickly. I do have one more visit to the nutritionist. She wants me to journal for 2 weeks straight. Honestly, I haven't even started that yet. I don't know if she wants me to try to lose weight or what. She didn't specify. Well that's all for now. I have a feeling that spring is going to be a new beginning. I'll be shedding this ****oon I've been in!! thanks to this board ...I've learned so much so far!! I told the Dr all about you guys!

Yeah, that's great. Congrats! So who is your nutritionist? If it's Peggy O'Neil, then I believe she just wants you to journal what you are eating and just try to make better choices during that time. She is the one I go to. I think she is great. Jamice

Jamice, it's someone within that group. I forget her name but she is great. That's what I'm going to do. Have you had your surgery with Dr Pohl yet? What are you having done? Janet

nevermind I just read your profile. You're doing band too! Good luck with the approval part. Dr Giovnni is hoping she'll have my approval when I go back for my 2nd appt.

Congrats!!!!!! I knew you would like Dr. Giovanni she is great. Everything about my surgery was fantastic. You will love the nurses and staff at the hospital also. They deal with our surgeries all the time and know their stuff. Dr. Giovanni will visit you at admitting with the other OR personell and you will have a great ride like I did. All The best. Tom
