OT: How did you make out with the ice?
Hey we were OK around here off Pontiac. Well what can I say, it is Laffey's neighborhood. No but seriously, I came home from work in lincoln at about 6:30 and that was an harrowing experience. 25-30 miles an hour all the way down 295. (I usually go 146 to 95 but I was afraid of those drivers so I went 295.

Hey D.
Well, my school didn't send out a cancellation til 7:20. Grrrr. I leave for work at about 6:35. Thankfully (sort of) I was waiting for my mom's health aid to arrive (she never did) so, I got the day off from school. I did spend over an hour shoveling icy slush and ice (my additional cardio) in the sleety rain. The positive part was that I didn't feel like I was having heart failure after shoveling for ten minutes, so much more energy/stamina now. The bad part was that it was sleety raining so much that my coat got soaked through and the lining bled (maroon-ish) onto my white shirt, straight through to my white bra and onto my skin, making me look as if I had a sun burn
My husband thought he had transmission problems when he left for work (around 5:45) but what really was the problem was that his tires were frozen to the driveway!
