Hi RI, How did you make out with the ice? My driveway is a skating rink and I just risked my life to go warm up my car. Our street didn't get plowed until around midnight which means nothing was done because it was all frozen.

Hey we were OK around here off Pontiac. Well what can I say, it is Laffey's neighborhood. No but seriously, I came home from work in lincoln at about 6:30 and that was an harrowing experience. 25-30 miles an hour all the way down 295. (I usually go 146 to 95 but I was afraid of those drivers so I went 295. Betz

Hey D. Well, my school didn't send out a cancellation til 7:20. Grrrr. I leave for work at about 6:35. Thankfully (sort of) I was waiting for my mom's health aid to arrive (she never did) so, I got the day off from school. I did spend over an hour shoveling icy slush and ice (my additional cardio) in the sleety rain. The positive part was that I didn't feel like I was having heart failure after shoveling for ten minutes, so much more energy/stamina now. The bad part was that it was sleety raining so much that my coat got soaked through and the lining bled (maroon-ish) onto my white shirt, straight through to my white bra and onto my skin, making me look as if I had a sun burn My husband thought he had transmission problems when he left for work (around 5:45) but what really was the problem was that his tires were frozen to the driveway!
