OK..It's been a while since my last post...but I wanted to update...and check on...
I had open surgery on 9/27/06...I am currently 19 weeks out yesterday...I have lost a grand total of 107 so far. I lose kind of wierd, I usually don't lose anything for 3 weeks, then 10 lbs or so the 4th week. At first it was pretty frustrating to lose like that, but now I know what to expect, so it doesn't discourage me. I eat different things, usually my day consists of a yogurt for breakfast, no fat of course, (once in a while I can usually have about a half an egg and a piece of cheese), then lunch I usually do about 1 egg with lite mayo, 2-3oz tuna with lite mayo or 2-3 oz chicken with lite mayo. For dinner I usually eat whatever my family has, in a very small portion, eating meats first and usually a bite of starch and a bite of veggie. For snack I usually have either sf pudding or jello, or a sf fudge pop. I drink about 60 oz of water a day. As far as work out. I usually walk 20 minutes on lunch 4 days a week...do the eliptical at home 6 days a week for 20 -30 mins. and do my resistance band, free weights and my thigh toner 3 days a week. I still have trouble with some meat, sometimes...and once in awhile, I take just one extra bite and my belly doesn't like it! My next appt is scheduled for April 2nd, which will be right after my 6 month point. I'm hoping to drop another 20 before then, but we'll see! I'd actually like to lose 36 lbs before then so I can be 199, but I know thats near impossible. Where are my surgery buddies, I saw Elianes update.
Hi Jessica: I've been wondering how you're doing. I am currently about 16 weeks out of surgery. I've lost a total of 50 pounds. I saw Dr. Harrington last week and he said my goal already. I'm at 180 now and his goal for me is 147, which of course, I want to go lower than that. I'm eating just about everything. I have no real food issues. Sometimes I take that one bite too many, but I'm learning real fast to stop. I'm going to join Curves next week. My husband had his surgery yesterday. He had open, so now I"m dealing with him and seeing what he went through with me. I'm glad your'e doing good! Keep us updated!
Hey jess! Wow u are doing awesome! I am down 86 pounds to date, which is great! I walk 15 min on my lunch break every day and I do the bike everyday for a half hour. I am doing great with the protein and my liquids. it feels good to get great compliments now and not the bad ones! For a snack, I am hooked on a rice cake with peanut butter. It is the best. Glad to hear u are doing so well!
