Wow !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! What a Ride. Everything was a great sucess. I came home yesterday and I feel fantastic. I never thought it would go this good. 4 hrs in the OR and they managed to do everything lapriscopically. Dr Giovanni was fantastic. Everybody at Roger Williams from Admitting to Discharge was increadible. Specilazed, caring and right there for me throuought the process. I did everything they told me to got up and walked a lot right away. Got the "Gas Out" ( they fill you with air to move around inside and if you don't move around you do feel worse) and felt better right away. I started my prep early and cut out coffee , sugar and stuck to the afwul shakes and diet the two weeks before and went liquids two days before surgery and things went well. I weighed myself this morning and from two weeks ago to today I HAVE LOST 50 LBS WOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!. I am down a full clothing size and have so much energy I can't belive it. Even I can't belive how great I feel. I am returning to work for a 1/2 day at the desk only next week and can't wait. I can't stand the shakes either but I have no appetite and it takes me a good hour or more to get one down. I sat and watched the family have breakfast today and I had my shake and it did not bother me one bit. Thanks to everybody who sent good wishes to me they are greatly appreciated. It was wonderful knowing that everyone was rooting for me. All The Best Thomas

Hi Tom!! I know I am late with this, but I just wanted to say congrats! I was wondering how you made out. Sounds like you are doing wonderfully. I am sticking in there with the shakes too. I went back to Dr. Pohl's office and got myself the chocolate and strawberry kind. The taset is much better and you can have them as pudding if you really want to. Anyway it must feel great to be on the other side.....I'll be there soon...thanks for letting us know how you are.
