NEW TO THIS

Hello my name is lisa ive been doing alot of reading on the band surgey. I need to do something. Can anyone tell me how long is the whole thing from time u meet your do****il surgey? And what happend when u lose all the wait you want to do you take band out? Thanks

Hi Lisa and welcome!!!! I think you may get a lot of responses if you go to the lap band forum on this site. From everything i have researched on this site, everyones wait time is different. i do know that the band stays in forever unless there is a problem. good luck on your journey Melissa

Hi Lisa, It took 5 months for me to get the band...but wait times will vary with doctor, insurance issues, and medical needs. As for taking the band out - most leave it in, but will have the port removed. Good luck and try the lap band forum... Thanks Danielle
