I got my date!
Hi everyone! I got my date and it is Feb 27th. I am going to have to get my gallbladder out because it's function is too slow, but Dr. Phol says that it's best and it's only one more little incision. I have to go on a semi liquid diet starting Monday....I have to drink the protien shakes 3 times a day and I can have a teeny tiny mealof no more than 3 oz of lean protien and like 1/2 to a cup of veggies. I need to loose some more weight and shrink my liver in the process so that it is easier for the Dr. and me. I am so nervous though.....I feel like I could just jump out of my skin lately, but I am excited too. I'm sure you understand. I also have to start the vitamins that he reccomends too so that I will already be into a rythm when I start. I bought the shakes from him and they were expensive....does anyone have any suggestions on a more cost effective shake that is at least 12g of protien and no more than 200 cals?

Hi Stephanie,
Congratulations on getting your date. They are right stick to the diet and it will go much easier. Their shakes are expensive, I checked out the Wall Mart near me but everything I have seen contains at lease 1 or 2 grams of sugar and a lot of other stuff so I am sticking to the shakes at Dr. Pohl's. I was a big AM Coffee fan and I have been doing the hot chocolate ( or reasonabley like one ) for 3 weeks now and it is tolerable. The wildberry shake is ok too. I think that they recomend them because they are the best for our situation.
I am scheduled for Tuesday with Dr. Giovanni and Dr Pohl. I am going for a trio, RNY Bypass, Gallbladder and hernia repair all at the same time. I can't wait to get on the loosing side.
Best of luck and keep us all informed of how you are doing.
Tom
