i had a holy crap moment.
i did something last night that i wasn't even able to do when i was 9 years old. I'll never forget this day for as long as I live.. It was the dreaded "run a mile and we'll time you to see how long it takes" race. I couldn't run the entire way. I tried and tried.. but I couldn't.
Well, last night.. I jumped on the treadmill at work - first time using this one -and kicked it up to where i usually do on my parents. Whoops. The thing TOOK OFF!!! so it forced me to runnn. run like the wind - or fall flat on my face in front of about 15 co-workers...
Shockingly enough, it didn't kill me, like i thought it would.. so i kept going! and going! and going!
Ladies and gentlemen... I ran a mile last night. I didn't walk, I didn't stroll, I don't even think it was jogging, but maybe it was... either way, i ran my 180 pound ass for a mile, with no breaks, no walking, no cheating - just running.
i got off the treadmill and couldn't really feel my legs too well. LOL. So, I went to the bathroom and cried. LOL
I'm such a baby.

Hey Kristen,
I did it!!!!!! Well, sort of. I jogged for the length of about three commercials. It felt kinda weird, not at all like I expected. I'm hoping once I reach onederland, in maybe two weeks or so, it'll be easier. But I'm amazed that I actually jogged, fast! Had to lift my feet in succession right off the treadmill, no fast walk at by any stretch of the imagination.
Just for fun, I straddled the treadmill and pushed the "run" button. Haaaa! That'll be a goal for much later.
Anyway, thanks for the encouragement, I probably wouldn't have done it otherwise.
