Looking for input

Hello all....I am a newbie here and am on my way (hopefully ) to getting the surgery. I have an appointment with Dr Giovanni on the 19th of March. Does anyone have any info on her? Did she do your surgery? How was it? I looked for stats on her but couldn't seem to find any..Thanks

have an appt with Dr Giovanni on Feb 12th!! I met her at the seminar and I really liked her! I know she came from CT. Maybe the CT board will know more. I'm curious to see input as well... GOOD LUCK!! Feel free to e-mail me if you want

hi there! welcome to the board... what hospital does she use? it's so cool that there are so many more doctor's patients coming here. we're not going to be all dr.roye/ryder/harrington/pohl patients for much longer. there's some new docs in town!! did you check OH for stats, too? kristen*

She uses Roger Williams. She is in the same office as Dr Pohl. It was almost a 3-4 month wait for him. I liked her when I met her at the seminar. I did check here for stats. She doesnt have any unless I didn't look correctly. I have heard she has done over 500 surgeries but I dont know how true it is. I will be knitting buttons until March. Hopefully I can get all the testing and other stuff done before my visit to her.

I am a patient of Dr. Pohl I have met Dr. Giovanni on several occasions unfortantely I developed an ulcer and was hospitalized for a few days and that is where I met her very nice lady. Very thourough I thought however she is not my surgeon I love Dr. Pohl he gave me my life back. I have also seen her in passing in Dr. Pohl's office and she always asks how I am. Hi Rhonda, I have Dr Giovanni and I like her a lot. She is very sharp, inteligent and is right to the point. (I like that) Also very thorough she does not miss a thing. She asked if there was any history of blood clots in my family and I said yes my sister many years ago and she had me get cleared by a hemotologist as well. I like her confidence. She has been doing WLS for a while in CT and now here with Dr Pohl. Well I guess I must trust here because she is doing my surgery on the 30th of January. I'm excited!!! Well it relieves me to know that other people trust their lives with her. There was something about her that I liked when I met her at the seminar. I have my ultrasound appt and my dietary consult on the 1st of feb and then my psych consult on the 22. Then I see her in March. Did you have all your tests done prior to your consult? How long does it take from the consult to the surgery date? Just wondering. Thanks and good luck on the 30th...
