Can I come too?!
Hey Jill
Congrats on your surgery. Did you recently move? Just curious as to why your surgeon is in CT. I'm originally from CT myself, although I've now lived in RI for 20 years. Yikes, how time flies!
Anyway, the meetings that this group go to are at the Gerry House on the Rhode Island Hospital campus. They take place the first Wednesday of each month at 6:30pm. I can hook you up with the email of the person who sends out the reminders and meeting topic if you'd like.
Who's doing you're after care?
Pam
Hi, Pam
No..I have lived in RI all along. I chose to go with Dr. Valin in New Haven, CT. He was...well..the best. First to do lap RNY in Connecticut, plus he had a very friendly office, he ia board certified, part of the center of excellence....
And one of the biggest deciding factors besides the 0 death rate, was that he has no waiting list. This is all he does, and does it well. I had my initial appointment, took some time off work for my pre ops, and had surgery..all in less than a month. His testing was thorough..including a nutritionist, and psych eval... He is doing all of my post op care, also. I definately made the right choice. He is amazing, and did an amazing job.
