Holy Big Numbers Teri & Kristen!!! You two are my heroes!!! I'm still the big slow poke but I'll take it any way it comes.. I also know with me starting with a lower BMI my numbers are going to different too so I'm not expecting the numbers you two are having... I'm happy to say I'm down 84 since last December and 71 down since surgery June 27th. Right now I'm weighing in at 168 and wearing a size 11 juniors jeans comfortably and size med tops!! Even my shoe size has gone from a size 9 1/2 to an 8 1/2.. My wedding rings have gotten so bad I had to wrap the shanks with band-aids to keep them from slipping over my knuckles. One thing I didn't have a big issue with "So Far" is hair loss. Although I do have a"Gregg Brady" mop of hair so I'm not really sure I'd miss any. I've found I'm a super picky eater now and tend to stick to the same thing allot. I think its because I know what my pouch likes and doesn't like so I stick to things that are "safe".. I'm lucky I'm not a sweets person cuze smelling things cook at work would drive me nuts but truthfully I haven't missed cookies or candy at all. Yeah they smell good don't get me wrong but if I have the choice between birthday cake or steak tips, I'm all over the steak tips... I was that way before surgery too.. I still can't do hamburg in any form. No burgers, No meat loaf, No meatballs... I don't even try anymore. Same with any kind of chicken. I tend to get my protein from cheeses, steak, nuts, steak, eggs, steak, ham, steak, bacon, steak, shakes, steak, yogurt, steak, cottage cheese, steak, steak, steak and steak..... lol Did I mention I eat allot of steak? I'm also proud to say I still have NOT had any soda. I have craved it a few times and thought about having some but I "just said no". I mean I won't lie, my mouth was watering for it and all and I truthfully thought about taking just a sip but I know that's how the down fall starts. Just one sip, Just one bite, Just one treat, Just one meal, I'm proud to say, finally, with the help of Dr. Roye and this wonderful tool I was blessed to receive, "I" am in control... And I won't go back!!!

Congradulations and your doing great. I m at 40 pounds down in the last 10 weeks with the lapband im happy and im almost in controll. I can not eat turkey or chicken even eating slow and small bites I throw up so I now have no desire to ever have it again. Lol I am also a picky eater so I give my self less choices and it has been wonderful . I also loved soda and I tryed on last week and 15 minutes later I regretted it . I spent the rest of the afternoon in the bathroom or running to it . I will not do that again as long as I live. Its trial and error and thing have been real good im happy I did this for myself I feel so good about it well best of luck to your husband and youll know first hand what he needs the next few weeks and tell him he is a lucky manto have you to help him God bless you both and merry christmas elaine
