any feedback on doctor royes office
Hi Linda,
I have to say from my point of view, they are very efficient. Annette can be kind of standoffish, but I have called for questions and a problem one time after surgery and didn't really have any problems with her. She seems standoffish, but she is a very busy woman and has a lot on her plate. I had no problems with the turnaround on everything and getting appts. I love Dr. Roye. He takes pride in his work and can be very serious at times, but he has such a funny side to him too. My 1st fill was kind of a fun experience...he was cracking jokes and so was I. He has always made me feel comfortable and I totally respect him as a doctor. Annette really is a nice lady and I have had some nice conversations with her....like I said, she is so busy that I think she comes off sometimes as rude, but she is really not.
Good luck...like I said, I love Dr. Roye he is awesome...I know quite a few people here have had him as a surgeon and can give you their opinions..but IMO I wouldn't change a thing!!!
Best wishes to you!!

Thanks kristen,
I provided a lot of information today in paper- like medical history and present concerns.weigh****chers info ect...
My question is will they provide it all to the insurance company? seems like Doctor Roye barely looked at it after I spent literally weeks on putting it all together. How does that work? Should I call mhy insurance company to make sure they have it all?
I dont want to take any chances
I submitted the same kind of packet to their office. It was about 2 inches thick, full of doctor's notes, operation notes/pictures.
Dr. Roye's office took care of it all and it's now included in my novel, i mean file.
For as busy of an office as it is, I've been thoroughly impressed with the efficiency. Now, if only the sleep center could be as efficient, i think everyone would get through this process a lot faster. LOL
good luck!

Hi Linda,
I just had my first appt. w/Dr Roye on 12/1. He was great. He even took the time to answer all of my mother's questions & concerns. As far as the insurance approval went, I have BCBS - Healthmate Coast-to-Coast. Dr Roye told me to give the office a call in 3 weeks to check on my approval status. I received my approval letter & testing packet in the mail on 12/5! I was amazed!!
Since I work midnights & only needed 6 out of the 13 tests listed, I was even able to schedule all of my tests (with the exception of the blood work) into 2 days. I'm hoping that my luck will hold out & I'll be able to get a surgery date for the spring.
Let me know how you make out since we seem to be going through this at the same time - it'd be nice to talk with someone going through the same things at the same time I am. Are you lap band or bypass?
