got a unpleasant phone call from dr roye today
well tonight dr roye called me he said the administratrion called him today...i asked him i though they called you yesterday because thats why he finally called me back he said they called him today and he was not very amused and he said he could fire me right now...i said why because i waited four days for a phone call back from you...he told me he lost the message on his desk and i told him annette gave it to you four times but anyways he was real angry with me and said i had two choices either he could fire me or i could just be quite and move on with him...i said i told the administration i didnt want to pursue this any further about the er incident he said alright ..but after i hung up my husband said he shouldnt be the one to fire you ...your the one who paid him 48,000 dollars i should be able to fire him ...he works for me...im really upset i guess i will have to think about this over the weekend i know a lot of you love dr roye i guess me and him just dont mesh...im not sure if i should fire him and get another surgeon before he threatens to fire me again....im sorry just venting donna and i also told him im just looking to get better from this i had problems for a long time and my pcp dont know much about gastric bypass he said thats him not me....
I also wanted to add.....If there is so much bad blood (so to speak) between you and Dr roye, do you really think it is wise to continue on with him? Maybe at this point you could get better care elsewhere because of all that has transpired. Not because Dr Roye isnt a good doctor, but maybe too much has happened between you both.

Either a doctor or a patient can sever a doc/patient relationship. If it is done by a doctor he/she would be required to provide a referral to a competent replacement.
In this case I happen to know both the doctor and the patient and I think that a mutual agreement can be reached if both parties can reconcile their differences. If both can move on and agree to put this behind them that should work. If either harbors resentment then that won't work. I think that Dr Roye is an excellent physician and I would hope he can act in a professional manner to facilitate this ongoing doc/patient relationship.
Whichever way you decide to go Donna, I am behind you and I will support you just as I have from the beginning. I care.
