BOOOO!!!! I'MMMMMMMMMMMM BACKKKKKKKKKKKK.....
hehehehe.... was that scary??? lol I'm trying to be in the spirit of Halloween lol
SILLY ME!
Anyhoot!!! FIRST AND FOREMOST!
CONGRATULATIONS TO ALL YOU LOSERS! I haven't been on in a bit, it took me a while to read all of the posts since then, but I am here now!
I'm am so happy to hear that all of you recent surgery patients are doing so absolutely wonderful, even with your ups and downs, you are here and doing well and I'm just ecstatic!
As for me, yes I am now a LOSER! wooohooo....
Thank you all for the support I received!
As I mentioned earlier, I hadn't been on in several weeks. So many things were going on that I just was too exhausted to come online.
I ended up having to train a temp at work 4 years worth of knowlegde in 9 days. At the same time, I wrote a book, it's called "my job description for dummies" LOL.
I was just too stressed out for that period of time.
Finally, Friday the 20th came along (my last day) and it felt awesome! (AFK...interruption... I smell cabbage...mmmmm....waves hand around as to get rid of smell...ok, I'm back now) LOL....
I took Monday out of work so I could be on that wonderful sulphate whatever it was...omg...the worst thing I have ever drank in my lifetime (wants to puke as she types it) lol
I used Monday as my last day to prepare for my surgery, last minute things here and there needed to be done. Found out I had to be at hospital at 6 am...alrighty...nothing like short notice...lol Had to find a ride in for that time and so on and so forth....woohoo TG it's over!
Went in as calm as a ...uhmm... bunny? lol Anyway, I was calm! My stats were better than ever before! .... I said, oh.. maybe I don't need surgery lol ... yea right... that was a joke! lol... I was READY! That's what that meant!
My Lawd! I forget how many people I saw during this "get ready for surgery" time, but I do remember that I had to answer the same questions over and over and over again...lol I think I saw Dr. Roye for about 2 seconds before surgery, after that I don't remember a thing lol thank goodness!! lol
Anywayz, surgery went well, can't you tell? I'm blabbering again lol
I was a little anxious to get out of there though. I've never minded staying in hospitals, it's like a vacation, they take care of you, serve you ...are normally nice to you. :0) BUT.... this time was a bit different... (now could you tell this was coming?lol) I had to stay in recovery, there were no beds for me elsewhere, although the doctor told me for 2 days that they should be moving me soon...lol alrighty then. Things were hectic... (I want to strike in front of hospital for them to get more nurses in there, damnit!)... They were short staffed, they had to move me from one side of recovery, where I had a private room (and happy) to the other side of recovery where I had a roommate with pnemonia (yippee) due to their lack of staff. I did have a wonderful night nurse though. Lisa, (waves to Lisa), she was just awesome, it's a shame she'll be moving out of state soon :0(
Anyway, I arrived home on Thursday at 2 p.m. I was told that I could eat whatever I wanted within the guidelines, of course, as long as it's mooshy. Well, been trying some moosh here and some moosh there... moosh moosh everywhere lol
I still trying to get my water in, my tummy says nooooooooooo moreeeeeee...lol I did realize that the only water I seemed to like before surgery, is now (I think) a no no! Imagine that ...lol I am now trying the crystal lite lemonade and it seems to be going down a bit smoother.
I am also trying different foods, oops moosh... and trying to see what agrees with me and what doesn't. This is all a learning period for me I guess. I'm having a real hard time eating slowly...some moosh just tastes sooooooooo good...lol Anyhoot, I'm learning by trial and error.
Good luck to everyone!
More babbling to come soon.

Hi,
I love the way you write! Always the wonderful sense of humor even when you're sort of complaining. I ended up staying in the ICU the whole time too, and that was nearly four months ago. They just don't have the space/staff to do it the way they should. My roomies were two little older ladies. One with a double hip replacement and one who'd lost part of her foot to diabetes (rat fink diabetes!!).
I was wondering what type of water you were refering to, or were you actually refering to water?
Any way, I like the Propel, which also comes in some flavors with a touch of calcium. Every little bit helps I figure. It's not too high in sugar, about 6 grams for 23 ounces, not bad at all. I also add calcium to it. I found powdered calcium at Vitalady.com. It dissolves like the protien powder, you can put it in just about anything.
Congrats on your successful surgery.
Another big loser,
Pam
Hi Pam!
I'm glad you enjoy my silliness hehehe...I enjoy making people giggle, life is too short to be serious 24/7 or even 2 minutes lol
Anyway, the "water" I was talking about was Nestle flavored water. It was the only water that I could actually get myself to drink and like it. Now it just tastes bitter :0(
I did find out that it wasn't the crystal light that I was liking it's the water I poured it in. When I first tried crystal light after surgery, it tasted really good. The next day I filled up a bottle with some no name brand spring water, oh boy, it wasn't the same.
I figured out that it tasted good because it was poured into "Smar****er". Smar****er seems to be really smooth going down. Now (back to complaining) I can't find smar****er anywhere except Stop&Shop! grrrrrrrrrrr....hehehe
You know I had to put that little complaint in, right? lol
Take care,
L
