Hi: When was your surgery and what did you have? I have a few tests left, the cck Hida scan tomorrow, glall bladder u/s and psych. Then I call Dr. Harrington for an apt. I am very nervous about the surgery. Any suggestions pre surgical? Glad to hear your doing good. I plan to go to the Nov. 1 meeting, it will be my first. Donna

Hi Donna, I had the lapband done with Dr Roye. The 1st week is tough but I am almost 2 weeks out now and feel great. I don't even realize I have a band until I try to eat and get full on practically nothing. I am on mushies and soft foods right now. I have not attended any of the meetings. My friend and her husband had RNY with Dr Harrington 2 years ago and love him. Don't be nervous about surgery. I actually was not nervous at all. I was just looking so forward to getting my life back and under control that the nervousness did not even creep in. I was lucky enough not to need the gall bladder tests because I had mine out almost 2 yrs ago. what surgery are you looking at?? Either way, you will be fine...just focus on the positive and becoming a healther, happier you. I hope everything goes well...keep me posted Kristen

It is the little things in life that make us happy...lol I remember when Dr. Pohl cleared me to have more than just protein drinks. That first cup of chicken broth never tasted so good!!!
