Hello I'm interested in lap band, all the research I've done it seems like it would be the best way for me to go. I've looked into either seeing dr pohl or dr roye. Any suggestions? Please share your experience, also from first appt to surgery how long is the process? I am planning to go to dr pohl info session in two weeks

Hi SM, Dr Pohl is great the seminar will give u a lot of information and the video will show u both procedures. Don't jump into this without more conversation. The members here have been great to me and I have spoken to at least 20 WLPatients in person and seen the results. It seems for most that it is about 6 months but it is different for many depending upon your insurance or other factors. My Doctor in Warwick Dr Gilson at Healthway RI recomended Dr Pohl and his office has his dietitian who works with you to go over what u can and how u can eat. Everyone has been great. Best of luck in your journey. Tom A

HI! I just got banded by Dr Roye's partner, Dr Beth Ryder. She is really awesome. I considered going to Pohl, but you have to go to a seminar first before u even make the appt, then wait for the appt, so I didnt want to wait. Dr Roye is good too, but he has a long wait also. GOOD LUCK! Roye and Ryder just started them vs Pohl who has been doing bands for a long time. Kerry

Pohl was the doctor who not for insurance reasons but some un known reasons told my hubby to lose 100lbs then come back and told me to see a nutrisionst for six months then come back... We both are with Dr. Roye now...
