I am losing inches which is a good thing. I have been getting frustrated because I am getting sick of eating the same stuff. How are u doing? Glad to hear that u r doing good!! Shannon

hey you..........how are you doing? sounds like you're doing ok. me too. I don't eat just the same ole thing everyday. I try to change it up and get the protein in. I've been attached to my saltine cracker with sharp cheddar cheese and some refried beans on it....I nuke it for a few seconds and make it gooey and throw a dollop of sour cream on top. Yummy. I eat most anything as long as it's soft and not too fibrous. I chew everything well and haven't had any problems with anything I've attempted to eat. I eat very little and give it a chance to go down slowly and it's worked out well. I eat a lot of poached eggs, but usually just eat the inside, as the white just doesn't appeal to me much. I may scramble the yolks onto a tiny amount of potatoe with some onion (minced so tiny) and it's good and soft. I love cottage cheese but can't eat the 1%. It doesn't get stuck but I feel it,...even after chewing. So I'm back to the 4%, which is creamy. Again, I don't eat much, so should be alright. I have seafood salad, but mince the crab and lobster down pretty good. I'm still satisfied cause I can still chew, but I don't risk large pieces. No celery or anything like that...and onion needs to be minced down well. But all in all, I make lots of stuff and take great care in how it's made, what it's made with and calorie/fat/sugar totals. I seem to be pretty satisfied food wise. I hope you're doing well and hope to see you at the meeting Nov. 1st. HUGS Shel

Hi Elaine..... How are you doing? I've been wondering about you since we haven't seen you on lately. Sounds like you're doing well too and I'm very happy about that. I hope to see you girls at the next meeting on Nov. 1st. I will be there for the transitional class as well as the meeting afterwards. You're right about the inches. I can sure feel a difference in my clothes, but the scale just taunts me and doesn't move much. If it does, I get that pound or two back the next day. Not sure why this is going on, but sounds like all of us are going through it. I've really been trying to get the water in, but can't say I'm winning that battle yet....but certainly am trying. I hope to see you soon....and Jes and Shannon. Hugs to all of you!!!! Shel

Glad to hear you're all doing so well...I've hit a wall...I have to call Dr Harrington Monday...seems like starting Thursday, everything I eat makes me feel sick. I don't throw up, but it's its liquid (yogurt, cottage cheese) I just feel icky after 3-4 bites. And if its more solid (ground meat with sauce, refried beans w/ cheese) I have this horrible pain in my belly and have to breathe through it cause I feel like I'm about to throw up. So, I'll call him, I must be doing something to fast. I'm getting some foods and I'm getting my water, so I'm not too concerned, probably just a minor set back! Love you girls!

Hey Jess- At first I thought u might be lactose intolerant but then I read on and u are having the same problem with meats too. U might be chewing to fast or the pieces are being chewed small enough. But u will get to the bottom of it!! Keep ur head up, u r doing good!! Glad to see that ur getting the water in though that is important. Hope that u get to the root of the problem and I hope to see u on Nov 1. Shannon

Think I got to the bottom of it. You know how we're told to make our meals last 20 -30 minutes...well...I take a little longer! If I slow down to about 45 minutes...I'm much better. So I think I'll be ok! Thanks for your concern.
