Hi All! Im being banded on Monday, I have to be there at 6am!! JEE****alk about early, surgery is at 8! Well im already having child care issues so early in the A.M. So I was wondering if its going to be possible for me to drive to the hospital myself for 6am, so that way my husband can take care of our son, til he goes to preschool. Then he can get a ride up and drive my car back home when he goes home? I mean I dont want them saying anything if I show up by myself, are they??? This is RI Hospital Kerry

Kerry I had my husband drop me off because he had just gone back to work after being out ill . You will be so busy he wouldnt see to much of you . It takes 2 hours to prep you and move you from place to place and have every one check you. So you do have a good idea. My husband works in prov and was only a few minutes away and he saw me after surgery that afternoon. A man has to do what a man has to do.Lol. Welcome to the world of lap band its a wonderful tool to have im so happy I had it done I already feel different about myself already. Take car good luck and everything is going to be fine . I was banded 3 weeks ago elaine

Kerry..... you should be ok driving yourself. I wish you did have some kind of support with you though. it's a bit unnerving....but it doesn't take long til they take you upstairs and things start moving. you should be alright, and they don't ask you if you drove yourself anyway. your husband can pick the car up later...should be no problems at all. still hate the thought of you being alone though..........I'll be thinking about you for sure. HUGS and we'll see you on the other side. Shel
