Hi Kelli..... So glad you're home safely and hope the gas pains diminish soon. I did not experience what most people describe, but I did have something like a bubble in my chest area, but was not bad at all. I hope you're feeling better soon. Shel

Good to hear you're home and well. The pain will get better faster than you'll believe! Just stick to what the doc says! Keep us posted. Make sure to get your water in and get rested.

Good Morning Kelli, I know you must be so happy you are home. You will find you get better by the day when you are home and relaxed. No, I never had the bad gas that you experienced. Although I did have very bad rumblings in the pouch area. But after a few months, it goes away. Thank God. Yes I also heard the gas can be very painful, but it will go away very soon. Let us know how everything went when you are feeling up to posting....Again, we are all happy you made it thru to the losing side. Carol b

welcome home!! yessss. i had gas pains. god, they were awful! i had been up sick the night before, so my nurse told me to take it easy.. and i didn't - and i shoudln't have. the gas just built up while i was resting and i started feeling sooo much pain - so i'd take more morphine, and feel sooo drugged, but the pain was still there! the morphine didn't even touch it.. so my brilliancy finally kicked in, and thought it might be the gas - i finally got up the energy to walk, and poof - 30 minutes later the pain was gone. duh. i could've kicked myself. 5 hours of pain, just because i didn't walk. actually, i was pretty annoyed with the nurse for telling me it was okay to rest and not walk around.. i know i should've been proactive, but when a nurse tells you should rest.. i tend to listen, you know? anyway. glad you're home!!!!! the gas pains will subside.. just keep walking!! if we can do anything to help you out.. let us know! soft hugs, kristen*

Thanks so much for your post. After reading it, I made myself walk. I actually took about 5 walks and my gas pains are not gone, but very bearable. I also was taking the liquid vikadin, it just made me sleep, but as soon as I woke up, there I was in tons of pain. I want to thank everyone for all of their support. I know today was my first day out of the hospital, but I found it so hard to drink the liquids. Partially because I'm afraid of getting sick, but another is that I'm not even thirty or hungry. But tomorrow, I"m going to increase my intake. Thanks again! Kelli
