I DID IT!!!
OMG... I was so nervous when I went into the CFO's office that my eyes were watery. I think it helped that they were though...lol I went in there, handed him the letter from the surgeon's office, told him that I needed to go out on a medical leave and he didn't ask me any questions. WOOOOOOOHOOOOO! We talked about getting a temp in to cover me and that he would deal with telling the controller about my leave. It was almost like he was trying to help me keep it under wraps.
I am thrilled that part is over. It might all sound crazy that I was this nervous about the whole situation, but, like many people here have said about their job, we all have different issues that we have to deal with at the work place, and believe me, I've seen what's been done around here in the past and it hasn't been good! So, I knew that the situation wouldn't have been pretty at all.
Thank you again Kristen for listening and for wishing me luck, it worked
Oh, and another thing, something crazy happened to me after I told him...it was like it all of a sudden hit me hard that I was really going through with this and it scared me, just for a moment though lol

Hey L,
So glad to hear that you made it through. That is one less stress you have to deal with now. Thank goodness your boss was professional about the whole thing and will respect your privacy. I will tell people when I get back if they notice (which I am sure they will notice I am not eating a lot). Now take a deep breath and enjoy the rest of your weekend!! I am so happy that that part is over for you. I have a co-worker that was questioning me about my time off....I just told her that I have things to do around my house and I am taking time off...some people are just nosey. Don't tell anyone you are not comfortable telling and if you do, don't feel you have to defend your decision because it is the right one for you...it is a matter of LIFE and living better and everyone deserves that...especially YOU!!!
Take care and hope to chat with you soon!!!
