Butterflies in my stomach....

This is the week that I have to tell the CFO here at work that I have to take a medical leave. I have been sick to my stomach for a few days now. I'm going to wait until Friday to tell him. I feel he won't have the chance to talk to too many people about it on Friday and this way I don't have to worry about people asking questions just yet. I plan on avoiding the whole "what procedure" question that might come about. I feel that it's no one's business and I don't want to hear their comments either. Arghhhhh... sorry, just had to let this out. Thanks for reading.. Love ya L

just remember that legally, they have no right to ask those questions, and you don't have to answer anything. "i have a medical issue that i need to deal with." that's all you'll ever have to say. good luck!!! everything will be great. kristen*

Hey L, Good luck with that. You will be fine....Don't know if you saw my post below, but I had some problems with the time off/manager issues. Don't be stressed. If he asks just make a joke and say...hey, I am just going in for a tune up///or tell him that you are having reflux surgery (it is kind of the same thing) just walk in there and don't be nervous. I didn't tell my boss it was bariatric surgery because they will obviosly know when I get back and can't eat much and they consider it elective, and I consider it a non-elective surgery...I need it for my health not for vanity reasons. let us know how you make out and with any luck he won't even ask... Best wishes and good luck!! Kristen D

Thanks Kristen D.! That is also another reason why I didn't want to tell him. I feel that he would think the same thing about it being an elective surgery and think I'm doing it for cosmetic reasons. Ok, tomorrow's they day. *hold breathe* lol Thanks again, L
