H-Pylori test done
I went for my test this morning and Dr. Harrington should have the results Thursday. I'm hoping they are negative so my surgery date will proceed on Oct. 13th. I will keep everyone posted.
LChance: The test was very easy. They called me in, I ex-haled into a bag, then I drank something that tasted like lemonade. They had me wait 15-20 mins. They called me back in, I ex-haled into another bag and I was done. Easiest test ever!

Hi Shelly: I didn't have to take any meds. When I went in to see Dr. Harrington, he decided that because I had an ulcer two years ago, he was going to do this test. Lucky me. I'm just hoping its negative, so it doesn't affect my Oct. 13th surgery date. If so, looks like I won't be having surgery until I return from my cruise on Dec. 3rd. Right now its hurry up and wait for results....lol

oh Kelli...............I know so much about that hurry up and wait situation. But I can tell you these last few months will be BUSY!!! And then if you're planning a vacation, then you know how hectic that can be, with trying to get all the details worked out for that, PLUS all the other things you do in a day.
The best news is that you don't have any ulcers and you're not at risk for any ulcers. That's the bottom line here, since they're so devastating to a post op. That was my absolute biggest fear.....(other than the obvious).
You're doing great. And things are on track. I'm so happy for you. Enjoy this part of your journey and your life.
