weirdest problem?

ok, so i had my surgery at the beginning of the summer. i started drinking coffee - but because it's summer, i dran****d coffee. now that friggin winter has settled in.. i've switched to hot coffee. and what happens? with every sip i take.. my stomach gurgles something awful. i feel like i've got godzilla trapped in my innards somewhere and he's ready to bust out! i don't drink my coffee any differently than my iced. i get it black w/ 3 splenda's and put my FF 1/2n1/2 in it. i've noticed this happens with hot tea and now that i'm thinking about it.. it happened with my french onion soup yesterday, too. uhm.. why? does anyone know? kristen*

LOL it'll be your problem soon enough, little miss!!!! I swear to DOG, the noises our new stomachs make are ridiculous. I have never in my life heard such ruckus coming from a human being! [and just wait for the gas to kick in.. your loved ones will be running for the hills!] As long as i don't hurl, i don't really care. i'm just curious why i'm so damn noisy! kristen*

lol - yep - i use that phrase! no idea where i heard it from or when/why i started using it.. but i like it better than god! cuz we all know who runs my life.. and it sure ain't him! i've got a 20 pound boss on 3 inch legs that keeps me in check. and no - she isn't on dogster.. but i have a feeling she's going to be by the end of the day. LOL kristen*

Hey Kristen, Well let me tell you ----- GET USED TO IT AND GIVE YOUR GURGLEMEISTER A NAME -- Mine started at about 6 months or so and usually decides to "announce" itself at the most inopportune times LOL. I have yet to have coffee since surgery so I don't know what my stomach will do now and I'm thinking I don't wanna find out. I'm wondering if because the coffees hot it's easier for your pouch to break down and it moves faster through the body. I heard some place cold coffee sits in ya belly and has to warm up before it digested.. So maybe that's it... ~Na-Dene~

Hi Kris, I started drinking coffee as soon as i got home from the hospital. That is one thing I cannot live without. I got used to it right away. In fact, iced coffee soothes my pouch for some odd reason. I think your pouch just has to get used to it. YES, my pouch gurgles like nothing I have ever heard before. Mostly with protein, and if i eat too fast or if i get too much air when i eat. (like talking and eating at the same time) Also if I dont chew and chew. Also for some odd reason, eating carbs do not make my pouch gurlge. Carol b
