HELPPPPPPPPP....

Ok, today I received a packet in the mail with instructions on what to do and when to do it for surgery. So, it mentions 2 weeks prior to surgery you need to have a pregnancy test and fill the Fragmin/Lovenox script for use after surgery. My question is.... do we get a script for the pregnancy test and a script for the Fragmin, and when do we get one because it did not come in the package??? A bit confused, L

hi L i can't remember who your surgeon is? but with dr. roye... i got that paperwork on my last appt with him before surgery. if this was your last pre-op appt, then you need to call the office and get those scripts! kristen

well I'm confused too............I've had a hystorectomy, so do I still need to have a pregnancy test? And I didn't get any scripts in my packet either......hmmmm. That's what happens when Annette goes on vacation I guess. Shel

oh good, its not just me LOL I'm not sure if I meet with Dr. Roye again. I have that stomach bacteria that I'm taking meds for now. On October 2, I will be having the test to see if I still have it. On October 12, I have that "manditory" training class. This is all I know for now. L

What is the Fragmin/Lovenox for?

Fragmen/Lovenox is to keep you from getting blood clots. You have to fill the perscription and take some to the hospital with you. After you get home you have to give yourself a shot in the belly 2 times a day. It seems scary and it is kind of a PITA but it isn't that bad. Betz also, when i called annette about the pregnancy test she said "anyone with a uterus" LOL
