Ok I have a question for you all. My husband has his final sleep study tomorrow night. This is his last test to do then all he's got left is his blood work. My question is, did you all have to wait until the follow-up with Laura which his is in a week,to be able to call for the last appointment with Dr. Roye or did you just call and book it seeing how it will be a few weeks before Dr. Roye will see anyone anyhow and that follow-up will be done.... The only reason why I'm asking is because now that we are going into the month of September we have only 3 months left of this year. When I booked my surgery with Dr. Roye he was booking 3 months out from the day I had my follow-up. My hubbys hoping for a surgery date around December 26th-December 31st (his bday is December 26th) because from December to February its slow at his work and Christmas will be all set and over with. I myself saw Laura for my follow up the week before I saw Dr. Roye to get my surgery date. Which would mean I "booked" my appointment to see Dr. Roye before I myself saw Laura for my follow-up, but I did see her first in the end. I also got my cpap machine two days after I saw Dr. Roye. Did Blood Work and Called for Surgery Date: 2/25/05 Saw Laura for Sleep Study Follow-Up: 3/13/06 Saw Dr. Roye for Surgery Date: 3/20/06 Got Cpap machine: 3/22/06 He's all excited that his last sleep study is tomorrow night and all gun ho to get his blood work done.I just want to get him booked and all set so we have a better chance of getting the date he's hoping for and it will be one less thing to worry about... Thanks For Your In Put!! ~Na-Dene~

call Dr. Roye and book the appointment sometime in the middle of this week - since his appt. w/ Laura is relatively soon. You have to give the sleep study people enough time to get their paperwork together and sent over to Dr. Roye. Otherwise, you'll have an appt w/ Dr. Roye without all the necessary test results - which will only delay the process even longer!! Your husband may very well luck out as many people opt not to have surgery around Christmas time. If he's feeling a bit of a crunch with work - he might want to consider doing it before the 25th, rather than after to make sure that he can be recooped in time for work to pick up again. [Of course, this is if Dr. Roye has time available] good luck!

Hey NaDene, I would call if I were you...don't let in on the fact that he has not had the follow up on the sleep study. I made the mistake of being honest with them, calling a few days before my last pre-op appt to see if I could get my appointment with him. They shot me down...Annette told me that absolutely EVERYTHING had to be in before making my appt. So just call and if asked, all the pre-op stuff is done and get the appointment. unfortunately he won't see me until after my cardiologist appointment, so I sit and wait...all my pre-op done.....sigh.... Let us know how he makes out!! Kristen D PS...you look great!!!!

Hi Na-Dene! I would definitely call, but don't tell them that he still has the follow-up. I called them as soon as I got my bloodwork done, on 7/31, with a follow-up with Lauren on 8/7. I just told Annette that all my tests were done, which they were, right?lol A follow-up is not a test LOL I got to Dr. Roye's on 8/21 and he still didn't have the results from Lauren, but was ok with it. I told him I had a severe case of sleep apnea and was getting my machine the following Wednesday and he said "ok, no problem" and scheduled me in for my surgery ...WOOOOHOOO... GOOD LUCK! L.
