I GOT A DATE TOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Like someone else here, I too, had the bacteria that causes ulcers (as well as had an ulcer). I went on the meds....16 pills a day and today Dr. Roye said it was "eradicated". Eradicated!!!! Damn. But I kept prodding him and he just kept looking at my file and smiling. I was going crazy 
....he knew it. He knows what I've been going through over the last 6 months and he was taking me to the very edge of the cliff, but was gonna grab me before I jumped............SEPTEMBER 26th!!!!!! He said no more waiting....it's time. I've lost 17 pounds and all of my other ailments seem to be "on hold" for the moment. BP is doing really well and ulcers gone.....it's time. 
So on SEPTEMBER 26th, I will have my surgery that I've waited soooooooo long to have. And I'm going to start my new life 
. And on top of that, I've just closed on my new house.......a 3 acre farm out in West Kingstown and I'm ecstatic. I move in on Sept 4 and I'll have 22 days to get everything organized before surgery. My mother and my oldest daughter (26) will be coming in from Oklahoma to help, so I'm not worried. They will take care of me. My daughter can only stay for about 10 days but my mom will stay for a couple of months....til I'm 100%....or I kill her,...whichever comes first. 
. I love my mom but we're oil and water after spending lots of time together, so she should thank her lucky stars I'll be malnurished and weak. But she's great and will take good care of me, I'm sure.

OMG OMG OMG!! That is wonderful news!!! Congrats!!! I'm so happy for you!!!! Mine was supposed to be Nov. 2 but I gave him the pout and he said ok we'll do it on October 24th...that I should be ok by then....But now that I know he said ok to you even if the meds didn't work all that well, it makes me feel better too.

Thank you L and Kristen.........I'm so happy to know that all the medication I took really did the job and now I'm good to have the surgery. I was so shocked, he had me sit down and I just kept saying "OMG" "OMG" into my hands. I have been skipping around all afternoon since I got home and am feeling better than I've felt in a long time. I did hear the long pause when I told my family.........I think it finally hit them that the time was REALLY here. But they're supportive and I'm only days away from beginning a new life. Thanks for all the support girls.............
