just wanted to say thanks!
i had been MIA from this forum for a while, and I think that happens to a lot of us post-ops as we feel like we're getting a grip on our new way of life. However, I found that I seemed to be drifting away from the principles that I should be sticking to - and once I started coming back here, and reading all the posts about how excited people are to be starting on this journey - it kind of brought me back to reality. i have a fantastic tool to help me on my journey - but in no way is it a quick or easy fix to a problem that's haunted me my entire life.
since i've been coming back, i feel a renewed energy and desire to do things the way i know i should. so i just want to say thanks. you guys are so supportive and the wealth of knowledge just can't be beaten.
can't wait to see y'all in a couple weeks!

that's the thing - i don't feel like i look all that much different! i know in my head that i've lost 90 pounds.. but i feel like i look the same? this whole head game thing is soooo weird.
Not to mention that my clothes now range from an 18/20 to some 26/28 things that still totally fit? I think i'm mostly a 22/24 right now.. but even in the last week, the brand new things i bought are starting to slip a little.
It's rough trying to keep up with all these changes. NOT that i'm complaining!!! LOL
I'm going to try to take some pictures tonight and get them posted so I can see if I see any differences between the last time and now.

LMAO - welcome to the club!!!
That's how I was too.... I lost 80lbs in 3 months and I still felt like i looked the same but it wasnt until i looked at an old picture (I think the one I brought in to the first couple of meetings) that I realized the huge difference. Yeah, I still wore my bigger sized clothes for awhile too. I know you have gone shopping but what you need to do is take those clothes that are obviously too big and get rid of them. Bring them to the meeting like you were gonna do becuz i know people in there would appreciate them. I know I would have if someone did that at my NY meetings I used to go to.
I found that I also purposely kept wearing a lot of things that were still big on me out of habit too. My size still varies depending on where I shop and I think that is gonna hold true for awhile. I can shop at Old Navy but I can still shop at Lane Bryant too. Sometimes a 16 is too big and sometimes too small.. I just make sure I always try on now even tho I hate that sometimes....LOL
Well, talk to you soon,
Elisa
