Sleep Test Results

Though I have has some time to calm down, I am still really upset that I had to wait in the Doctor's office for an hour before being seen. A patient that came in after me went before me. I wasn't pleased and I wasn't too nice to the Doctor after I got to the room. Plus the nurse weighed me wrong and I was annoyed. I was just not having a great time with them. It was my first visit with the doctor even though I had the test done before hand. Well the results are in and I have sleep apnea. I am not really too concerned about it. I go back for my test in September to get fitted for the machine which I am not sure if I am going to be able to use in my house. I am just still really upset at an hour wait. I lost and hour from my job that of course my boss won't let me make up. [That's a whole other story there.] I just wanted to update anyone that has been following my progress. Ciao, Jamice

Jamice: I am sorry that it did not go well for you. Just think of it this way, you are another step closer to being on the losing side!! Kristin

that happened to me, too. i think i waited for about 90 minutes before anyone saw me. did you go to the e.greenwich w/ dr. millman? he's kind of a tool - and i've heard that from a lot of people.. but i only had to see him once- the rest of the time, i just saw Lauren Cushing and I loved her. i'll never forget when dr. millman walked into the office, he was wearing jeans and a flannel button down shirt. he just started talking about my neck size.. and i was just like, "excuse me? but who the hell are you?" I knew who he was - but I thought it was wicked unprofessional to not even introduce himself. so i was a ***** to him, too. LOL Now that I'm 4 months out, I hardly use my machine. I don't snore/choke/stop breathing at all anymore. So really, this is probably the one and only time you're even going to have to see him - and it's already over!

Thanks, I saw Dr. Gupta. He is next to Roger Williams. I got flamed on the LapBand board for being upset about the wait. I understand that you are going to wait sometimes to be seen. I just never had to wait that long when I had an appointment. I can see if I was a walk in or some kind of fit in. I just didn't like him or the office. I have to see him one more time. After that, I am done. If I need any one else I am going to go to some one else. I stop breathing about 30 times. I knew I stopped breathing when I slept on my back so that's why I would always sleep on my stomach. It's going to be interesting to see how they are going to calibrate the machine for me since I am not allowed to sleep on my stomach... Well not really not allowed but with all the wires I couldn't turn over. I just want it over with. It's not something that I am really concerned about. I have a 16 month old that doesn't let me get a good night sleep. When he is away I sleep soundly and peacefully. I just have two more things to do and then I am done. I just need to get my galllbladder looked at and my psych evaluation done. The psych evaluation is going to be tricky since I have to come up with some funds I don't have to pay for part of it. Oh and I still need to get approved. One good thing I think having sleep apnea might help with with my high BMI for approval.
