Well, I'm almost through with my pre op stuff and I just found this site. A little about me. I'm 26, married 8 month old daughter, 12 y/o step daughter and 9 y/o step son. Currently weight 340 lbs. I have completed almost all of my pre op testing, just have the follow up with the sleep study doctor on the 24th, and my blood work, then I call Dr. harrington for an appt. at which point I guess he decides if he wants me to have the surgery. Insurance already approved, so that's a good thing and all my tests came back ok. So, hopefully not long, I'm going crazy.

Hi Jessica: I'm also seeing the sleep doctor on the 24th for my follow up appt. I also have Dr. Harrington. I'm planning on getting my blood work done the morning of the 25th, then calling Dr. H's office right after to get my appointment. Good luck on your journey. Looks like chances are good we'll be going through this at the same time.

Wow, that's funny, my appt is in the w. warwick office @ 10:30...where are you going? I'm doing the blood work the same day, right after the follow up. And calling the office, I can't even wait! Hoping he schedules really fast, like within 2 weeks! Good luck with you too...hey, maybe we'll be roommates! I'll be looking for you!

I'm also going to west warwick, but my appt is at 2:45pm. Since we have to fast for the bloodwork, I can't go until the next morning. Did you end up having to use the CPAP machine. I'm going to have to for the 2nd study which is this Sunday. That really rots....but I'm willing to do anything to get this pushed along faster.

Looks like I'm before lunch, you're after!!! Yeah, I know we have to fast, it's going to kill me, but I just want it done right away, plus I have Thursday's off, so it works! As far as the Cpap...they made me use it at the 2nd sleep study, it s*cks...but it's up to the doctor on Thursday to see if I really slept any better with it. After the study, they told me it seemed to be a very mild case, so I may get away with it. Hoping that Dr. harringtons office gets all the paperwork quickly to get rolling...I want him to have an opening sooner than I know is possible!

Hi Kelli, I am going for my sleep consult, today in Middletown, with Dr. Millman. It sounds like your at the end of this process, too. Maybe, all three of us, will be roomates. LOL! Keep me posted. I'm new, and haven't met anyone yet. I'm hoping to go to Sept.'s meeting. Nancy

Hi Jessica, Glad you found this site. Welcome and good luck. I am a Dr Roye patient and I am 12 days post op. Things so far are a lot easier than I thought they would be. Again, welcome. Betz

Hi everyone, welcome to this great forum. I hope you find it as informative as I have. I am also pre-op. I've completed all my tests on 7/31/06 and had the final follow-up for the sleep apnea in W Warwick with Lauren. I have an appointment with Dr. Roye on the 21st and let me tell you, it's been hell!! LOL This waiting is killing me and I haven't even gotten my surgery date. Then, I will have to wait some more ...omg... I can't take it LOL Well, anyway, good luck everyone. I will be updating my page with tid-bits from forums that I've read from RI and other states.
