surgery with dr roye on august 22nd

i am going to have surgery with dr roye in a couple of days well august 22nd i weigh 487lbs i came down from 507 thats a plus i guess but im s o scared of the u unknown im scared of being intubated when i wake up im scared that i w ill have to go to a rehab and not come home has anyone gone to rehab after surgery? can anyone help me put my mind to ease...smile....im just a bag of nerves...and on top of it all my mom wonnt be with me like i thought she is fighting for her life in the hospital right now...im a mess and i k now i h ave to do this surgery no matter what because im g oing to die like this...donna

HI Donna, I read your post and I feel for you. I know I was scared too, but you know you can read some of the profiles on the main board and look at the before and after pics of the people and it makes you feel so much better. If they did it...you can too. Besides, you lost 20 lbs on your own .......congratuations to you. .. I couldnt do it...You wont go to rehab...I have never heard of anyone going to a rehab place. YOu say your mom is fighting for her life too...I hope she gets well.....Just take care of yourself right now...and you will be fine. But like I said, I found that reading the profiles of many of the people really helped me get thru this. Hope it works for you. We were all in the same boat at one time......You will be on the losing side very soon and you will feel so much better. I know I speak for all of us who have had wls that we all feel so much better physically. Carol b
