hi and free clothes!
hello hello hello,
I hope y'all have been doing well. life is great here. i don't really have any major updates surgery-wise, just that i've now lost 70 pounds in the 10 or so weeks since my surgery. woohooo. i'm back down to college weight and clothing size. yay!
i'm going to be at next weeks support group meeting, and i'm bringing a TRUNKFUL of size 26/28 clothing. No kidding. It takes up nearly my entire trunk.. and I need to do another closet sweep before then..
SO, if there's anyone out there who can use some of these clothes.. please seek me out either through email or before/after the meeting. I don't shop anywhere but Lane Bryant, and a lot of them are really nice business attire. Some stuff is old but makes for great loungy type stuff.
Oh, my only other update is that I got a new job. yay. it'll be on the Navy base in Newport.. so i'm psyched. this will be the closest commute i've EVER had in my entire working career. lol
love,

thank you thank you! i'm so psyched. i feel better than i have in sooo long.
i don't know what i'm doing that's working, really? i think i'm losing a lot because i was heavier than either of you. when you start off real heavy, you lose really quickly - why, i don't know!
i eat 4-5 times a day, all small meals and all very high in protein. i usually have two string cheeses in the morning and some yogurt with a 1/2 peach. then around 11 i have some sort of tuna/chicken salad on 2 cheese crisp. around 4 i have some kind of snack. either peanut butter and apple, or beef jerky. then i have dinner [steak tips are my favorite, with a couple asparagus spears] aroudn 7 and eat another snack around 10.
sometimes i have a protein shake, but more often than not i don't. i've tried really hard to get all my protein in by just using food. if there's a day when i've skipped a meal or two, then i'll usually make a shake at night. i'm hoping to bring my bullet to work so i can try to up my protein intake on a regular basis. i find when i'm out and about, it's really hard to deal with protein shakes!
i don't really have a regimented exercise routine - but i take my dog on really long walks, either through jamestown or newport center, or on the beach if it isn't too crowded. once i start working i'm going to sign up for a gym. it's a benefit they have - 150 bucks if you show them your gym membership. can't beat that!
i've been really lucky in that i don't have any trouble eating.. the only thing that's been difficult is chicken. sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't. so i stick to the things i know that work, and if the chicken looks moist.. i'll go for it.
i never ate the baby food that i had, and ended up giving it to a friend of the family who is expecting.. so i know what you mean about needing to unload it!
