Coming to RI for surgery with Dr. Pohl

Howdy, My name is Patti and I will be having my surgery down there in the great state of RI with Dr. Pohl. I am from NH, but want my surgery done at a "center of excellence". Dr. Pohl is the closest. I just wanted to say "hi" and introduce myself. Thanks Patti *I attended his informational meeting. My first appointment with him is in July. He seems great!! Any info about him or the hospital is greatly appreciated!! Nice to meet you all!!

Hi Patti, I would like to welcome you to Rhode Island. I don't know anything about Dr Pohl but i have heard good things. I had my surgery done at Rhode Island Hospital 3 weeks ago. I could not say anything bad about my stay. I thought they gave me the best care. I wish you alot of luck and keep us posted. Claudia

Hi Patti, I have had my first consult with Dr. Pohl and I really liked him. He seemed right on target with what I was thinking. I am currently on my 6 month diet for insurance purposes. I haven't had any of my testing done. I am going to see my PCP on July 3rd. I am hoping to get all my referrals then for my other tests I need to get done so after I am done with my diet [keeping fingers crossed] I can get approved for the surgery and have it done. Hi, If it doesn't work out with Dr Pohl, another "center of excellence" is in CT with Dr Jonathan Aranow in Middletown, CT. I live in RI, but chose to drive an hour into CT to have (in my opinion) the best surgeon do the job. Let me know if you'd like more info. paula
