NaDene, It was great meeting you tonite. I agree with you, I think the meeting should stay the way it is. I've learned so much from going to them and I wouldn't know alot of things if it weren't for the ones who've been out for awhile. I absolutely love going and meeting all of the people on here...we feel like we know each other from talking all the time, but then face to face is great... I just wish Shelli where there....I hope she's ok.. Ter

Hey everyone, I agree it was sooooooo great to see you all. So Shannon was across from us with hubby and he was the one who said the thingy about the OR booking time......and Betsey was there across from us with her daughter and friend who had the surgery about a year ago.......got it......all the rest of us big mouths were all in a row......Kristen skipped out on us and we were like "where did she go"??? LOL that was funny. I agree the meeting should stay the same and they should add an info session for newbies and perharps ask some posties to come early in case there are any questions for us that we can help out with. Even at 20 months out I still love to hear other people's experiences and I still learn something everytime. See how I have my own issues with the water and vitamins????? Well at least I drank a bottle during the meeting, and see.........it made me go pee twice (LOL TMI?) Okay, well have a great day and talk to you all soon. Hey Elisa, I was with Betsy and her daughter. I had my surgery 9/04 so its been about two years. I had been going to RIH support group religiously for about 2.5 years. I hadnt been for a couple of months and all of a sudden I didnt know anyone there! All of my old friends have stopped going I guess. Anyway, I met you outside while we tried to bust open the door. Hey Shannon, My starting weight was 238 and now I am around 153. I want to get down another 10-15 lbs but girl it is HARD! My body seems to like to stay right where it is. Hopefully this summer I can drop a few more lbs, or one more pant size. When everyone went around the room last night and said how much they lost I kind of felt like a looser since Ive lost under 100lbs in almost 2 years but I guess I was a "lightweight" to begin with. I guess I should just listen to Dr. Roye, being healthy is what is important! With love, Em

Hi Elisa, Yeah that was my husband and I! My husband was curious about how many surgeries could be done in a week. We both work as certified nursing assistants so he wanted to know that question. That was his first meeting he went to with me. Last month I went with my best friend. Hope u all have a great evening! Shannon

i scooted out early. had to be home by 9!!! plus, i got sucked into a conversation with Kenny, who i was sitting next to. I told him about this site.. so maybe we'll see him around here someday. Next time I'm gonna hang out and socialize. I promise. lol Elisa, would you mind sending me that link as well? I'd love to see if there are any process development/improvement available? or anything at this point.. really. I'm psyched, I just got an interview at Raytheon for Monday night.. so hopefully that will pan out!!
