Dr. Ryder's office called me today
United Health has denied my request for surgery under the grounds that it is a written exclusion in the policy. I'm not going to appeal, I wouldn't win.
I probably won't be on here much anymore until I either switch insurance companies or figure something else out. It is too painful for me to see everyone else so excited when I was in that same place only two weeks ago.
I wish whoever told me the surgery was covered under my insurance had their facts straight before they opened their mouths. It would have saved me over two months of appointments, and feeling that something was finally going my way.
I will keep you all updated on my progress, but right now, I am at a stand still and feeling pretty depressed..
