I am HOMe
Hi Teri and Carol,
My stay was ok except for getting sick. I got sick from the pain meds. Then they changed the pain med and i still got sick. But I am OK now. They almost would not let me come home as my oxegen level is low. I saw Harrington Sat, boy was he early like 6:15 AM. He told me the surgery went very well.
Fri was a wash out for me. My son came in as soon as I got ot step down. After they washed me he can in. I didn't want company so I guess the nurse told me that I told him not to get confortable as I wasn't up to company. The first night i didn't get much sleep. But Sat got a little better.Early Sun I got the dry heaves.
So i did not leave step down. I was dicharged from there.
I am glad to be home thou. I slept in the recliner last night and proably will for a while.
I am confused what I should be eating. So if you can tell me what i should be eating that would be greatful.
Claudia
hey claudia...happy to see all went well, i was hoping to see you friday but i was discharged from the hospital on thursday night...i also am a little confused as to what we can eat, when i left the hospital no one told me what diet i was on...i was on water until thursday (mind you surgery was tuesday morning) for breakfast i had juice, then they rushed me into lunch, cream soups and a mighty shake, then again for dinner, then i went home. that was the only part of the stay that bothered me, the whole introducing food thing, the hospital seemed a little confused as to what was going on, it was like i was rushed in one day, from water to full gastric bypass diet ...well i have been eating alot of water, juice, chicken broth, jello, sf popsicles, mashed bananas, cream of wheat (with that let it sit for a few to make sure it is completely expanded & it has to be thin) sf pudding(chocolate didn't sit well, instanly in the bathroom) i am having a problem with the protein, i gag, it's disgusting, i have been using carnation sf with skim milk and a scoop of non-fat dry milk as my protein drinks 8 oz. has 20 grams, better than gagging...well relax, take it easy (it's hard though) hope to hear from you soon....t...
